Field shelters and mobile field shelters give horses & ponies the freedom to choose whether to be in or out! In most circumstances, Mobile field shelters will not require planning permission (if you are unsure about the situation, we have an in house Equestrian Planning & Design consultant who will be more than happy to advise you)
We provide top quality solid timber field shelters & hay stores in a range of sizes and specifications. All our field shelters are supplied fully lined to give your horses, sheep or livestock extra comfort, and also to provide additional insulation for food, materials or if you want to use your field shelter as a Hay Store. This means our Field shelters provide excellent shelter not only against the wind & rain in winter but against the sun and insects in summer.
All our mobile field shelters are constructed onto sturdy, galvanised metal box section skids, galvanised rather than painted for long life, box section for ease of towing. The skids are fitted with towing rings at each end and heavy-duty chain to enable the mobile field shelters/stables to be towed, using a suitable vehicle. Where the field shelters/stables are in an exposed location it can be secured through the towing eyes (with the metal stakes provided).
We are able to custom-make the size and design of the mobile field shelters / stables to suit your own requirements, be it open fronted, stable fronted or even with a tack room attached. Tack rooms and hay stores can be supplied with a timber floor for the dry storage of tack and feed.
We have also erected garages, workshops and pavilions on skids to make them mobile where planning was proving problematic.
Field shelters, or a mobile field shelter are very cost effective and with no concrete base required, the groundwork for the field shelters is minimal.
